Haulover Beach
The most famous clothing-optional beach in the United States, Haulover sits on a barrier island just north of Miami Beach.
About this place
The most famous clothing-optional beach in the United States, Haulover sits on a barrier island just north of Miami Beach. A roughly half-mile stretch at the north end is officially designated for nude use and is patrolled by Miami-Dade County lifeguards. Wide, fine-sand shoreline, calm Atlantic surf, and a remarkably mixed crowd — locals, retirees, snowbirds, and international travelers all share the space.
Etiquette & ground rules
Nude use is confined to the marked northern section behind the dune line — keep textile and nude zones separate when walking the shoreline. Photography of others without consent is prohibited and actively enforced. Lay a towel on any seat or surface. The Haulover Beach naturist section is family-tolerant but not a party beach: no overt sexual behavior, gawking, or solicitation. Single men congregating in groups will attract attention from beach ambassadors.
